Supporting Women In Ministry (S.W.I.M.) is a grassroots effort to offer support, input and advocacy for Catholic women involved in ministries of outreach and service to the community, both within and beyond the institutional church.

The acronym “S.W.I.M.” stands for our efforts against the tide, our struggles to keep afloat, our battles against strong cross currents, and our resolve to propel ourselves forward no matter how great the distance that lies ahead!

Supporting Women In Ministry (S.W.I.M.), an independent organization established  in 2007 in Raleigh, N.C., is unaffiliated with any other group, national or international, using the same/similar name or acronym.
